Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care for all ages

Chiropractic care focuses on optimizing the body's natural function, primarily by addressing the nervous system. Instead of directly treating diseases, chiropractors aim to remove nerve interference through precise adjustments. Since the nervous system controls every bodily system—from circulation and digestion to immunity and respiration—restoring its proper function can positively impact overall health. Even subtle misalignments can disrupt nerve function, leading to pain, swelling, and reduced mobility. Chiropractic adjustments provide an approach to improve pain management, child development, and whole-body wellness.

Prenatal Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care during pregnancy supports a healthy mother, which is essential for a healthy pregnancy. Dr. Lucy, certified in the Webster Technique, specializes in optimizing balance of the pelvis and has extensive experience addressing common pregnancy discomforts like SPD, nausea, sciatica, and back pain. Prenatal adjustments are tailored to each woman's changing needs and comfort, focusing on the unique ligaments supporting the uterus. These adjustments promote pelvic balance, potentially leading to a smoother labor and delivery by ensuring optimal nervous system function. You can begin care at any stage of pregnancy. Dr. Lucy’s Webster Technique certification from the ICPA emphasizes the specialized prenatal chiropractic care one’s body need as is adapts and grows through pregnancy and prepares for birth.

Pediatric Chiropractic Care

During the early years, your child's nervous system develops quite rapidly. Chiropractic care supports this development, building a strong health foundation for their future. We address a wide range of common childhood issues, such as feeding difficulties, misshapen skulls, digestive problems, ear infections, bedwetting, sleep disruptions, focus issues, allergies, and respiratory conditions. Dr. Lucy’s focus extends beyond symptoms, aiming to improve your child's overall well-being, contentment, and developmental progress. We prioritize personalized care, offering families diverse options rather than a standardized treatment plan.

  • Neuroemotional Technique (NET) is a mind-body approach used by licensed healthcare practitioners, often chiropractors, to address the physiological impact of unresolved emotional stress. The core concept is that past emotional experiences can become "stuck" in the body as Neuro Emotional Complexes (NECs), affecting physical health, behavior, and overall well-being long after the event has passed.

NET practitioners use a combination of muscle testing (applied kinesiology), specific questioning, and gentle physical corrections (often involving spinal adjustments or acupressure points) to identify and help release these NECs. The process involves the patient focusing on a specific emotion or stressful memory while the practitioner assesses muscle responses to pinpoint related imbalances in the body's energy system (often linked to traditional Chinese medicine meridians).

The goal of NET is not to treat emotions directly or provide talk therapy, but rather to address the physiological component of the stress response. By releasing the "stuck" emotional charge, NET aims to restore the body's natural ability to adapt to stress, promoting healing and improved function. Many patients report feeling lighter, calmer, and experiencing a reduction in various physical and emotional symptoms after NET sessions.

About Dr. Lucy Lillie, DC

Understanding the profound impact of a healthy nervous system on my family's well-being has made chiropractic care a non-negotiable priority for us. Motherhood, while bringing immense joy, presents its own unique set of demands on a woman's body and energy. By nurturing mothers through chiropractic, we're not just supporting individuals; we're creating a positive cascade that benefits the entire home and extends into the community.

My personal experiences, particularly navigating pregnancy and the challenges of my daughter Theadora's restricted oral tissues, ignited a strong passion within me for perinatal and pediatric chiropractic. This firsthand journey, coupled with my comprehensive education at Palmer College of Chiropractic, has profoundly shaped my approach to care. I utilize a gentle, tonal approach, respecting and supporting the body's inherent ability to heal and regulate itself. My expertise encompasses a range of techniques, including Network Spinal, the Webster Technique specifically for pregnant women, pediatric-focused care through my Pediatric Experience Certification, MLS (Mastery Love Service), the foundational Palmer Package (Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, and Activator), Quantum Neurology, and Neuroemotional Technique. My own introduction to the incredible benefits of chiropractic came after a foot fracture during my senior cross country season, where it provided the relief and healing that traditional Western medicine couldn't. Through this experience it shifted my perspective from never receiving chiropractic care to making chiropractic my first line of defense for any health concern and ultimately guided me towards pursuing it as a profession. Chiropractic school provided me with a deep understanding of the body's intricate mechanisms, emphasizing the nervous system's central role in controlling all bodily functions and how thoughts, traumas, and toxins can disrupt it. Towards the end of my studies, as my husband Mitchell and I anticipated the arrival of our daughter Theadora, my knowledge of the body's innate intelligence and design empowered me to support my pregnancy and prepare for a transformative homebirth, trusting in the body's natural ability to birth how it was designed to.

It truly feels like life has guided me exactly where I'm meant to be: prioritizing the care of pregnant individuals, mothers, women, and families.
